Yohji Yamamoto

Here are a few more designs from the Japanese genius. I like his much use of black. I really like this dress because its quirky and it will suit any bodysize and could  be used as a costume if required.

Inspiration

Yohji Yamamoto is a Jamanese Fashion Designer who really inspires me with his often asymmetrical cuts and occationally unfinished edges. He among the Masters of Designers whose work is thought to be just genius. He is said to make clothes for real people rather than divas.
I like his designs as he often uses black, he feels that colours can distract from the nature of the material, the texture, the hang and the way it sways to your walk.

Capsule Collection

Just thought I'll give you a glance of the jumpsuit for the capsule collection and my daughter is kindly modelling it for the photo.

Capsule Collection

I can exhale! Finished our capsule collection for the fashion show, handed it in on Tuesday. I am pleased with my garments. Here is a glance of my dress.

Garment Prodoctiom

Just thought I will put this on, I made this dress during last Easter holidays, it will come in useful if we get a summer!

Things to Come

According to the Stylist Magazine these are the shapes we should be expecting to see in Next Seasons Trends. These are my favourite shapes for my designs, I like the sharp deffinite points as I have mentioned in previous bloggs.

A Future View

This season, fashion makes a statement with bold structured silhouetts. Monochrome shapes and Architectual details are key elements of this trend. This is according to the Stylist Mag.

Designer takes on Climate Change

I finished my workout this morning at the gym and sat to have a coffee and as you do I picked up a magazine. I came accross an article about Vivienne Westwood colaborating with the  Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF). It was the outfit that caught my eye really. I know she is known for her quirky designs and I do like her style very much but I will refrain from commenting on this outfit!!

Obviously Fake

While researching for my recent Design Directives on Fashion Against Fur I came accross this beautiful Multi Coloured fur coat designed by Pam Hogg.
I Like it because its funky, fun and a proper statement garment and most importantly no animal was hurt for this garment.

Organic

I want to post this image because I think its vibrant and cheerful but most of all because all of the garments and fabrics are 100 percent organic.

Interesting

I came accross this dress  by Louis Vuitton, the beautiful circular leather skirt caught my eye. I thought the dress is such an interesting mix of fabrics.

The bustier of the dress is made from tweed fabric with wide black straps and a black belt, the skirt is chocolate coloured leather in a full circle design. Interesting mixture of fabrics but looks very beautiful indeed.

Design

Here is another of my designs for the capsule collection- A Future View 2013/14 Autumn Winter.
I like this style because I feel it will fatter any figure because of the beautiful folds at the centre front of the dress.

Architecture

This design is inspired by the Sydney Opera House. I like it because of the sharp points and lovely curvy lines.

style 1960s

As I am inspired by the fashion of the 1960s I would like to publish this image. I like it because it highlights the waistline. I like the bold black and white stripes as it indicates a statement garment which means the wearer is confident.

Inspiration

I came accross this evening dress in the Haute Couture 2010-2011 Paris/Rome just thought of putting it on here. This dress gives me inspiration because it makes a fashion statement, I like the way it accentuates the waistline. I love the colours and the large floral pattern at the front and back. It slightly reminds me of a Bee and somehow Queen Bee springs to mind!

Design

Here is one of my designs that I am hoping to make for the capsule collection.
The fabric will be heavy satin  layed from the side seams with dress netting. There will be some embelishments on the front of the dress.

Inspiration

I like this image, it gives me inspiration for my capsule collection. Some of my designs have similarities to this dress. I like this dress because it is not restrictive, although it is an evening dress the wearer has a sense of freedom.

It is by Jaeger-LeCouture and sold for wait for it! £29,100.

College

Cathy Jung
Lots of dreadlings at the monent but things are going good. Presently working on portfolio work and capsule collection. Handed in my essay  called Dressed to Kill- the Corset Fashion versus Health. In my essay I mentioned the American Cathy Jung who has been wearing Corsets or tight lacing as she would rather call it for over 25 years. She has the guiness World record for having the smallest waist in the world. Her waist measures only 15 inches, the size of a cd!!!
